How to apply for MiRx Card — Michigan's Prescription Drug Discount Card
Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)
Who it's for
The MiRx Card is a free prescription drug discount card from the State of Michigan for residents who have no other prescription drug coverage. There is no cost for the card and no cost to enroll. Show the card at a participating pharmacy to get a discounted price on any prescribed medicine the pharmacy stocks. Savings are usually 5% to 25%, about 20% on common drugs. Over-the-counter drugs are not covered. There is no age limit, but household income must be at or below Michigan's median income (for example, $53,113 for one person or $64,428 for two). Apply online or call the MiRx Hotline at 1-877-681-7540.
You must have no other prescription drug coverage. Most people with Medicare Part D, Medicaid or a retiree drug plan already have coverage and cannot use this card. Each household member must enroll. Savings depend on the drug and the pharmacy.
