Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging
Who it's for
Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging is the Minnesota Board on Aging's designated Area Agency on Aging for the seven-county Twin Cities metro area, including Scott County. It funds Older Americans Act services for people age 60 and older and their caregivers through local organizations — home-delivered and group meals, caregiver support and respite, assisted transportation, health promotion, and chore and homemaker help. It also runs Minnesota Aging Pathways (formerly the Senior LinkAge Line), which gives free help with Medicare, housing, transportation and other resources. Call 651-641-8612 or Minnesota Aging Pathways at 800-333-2433 to get connected.
AAA services are free; program enrollments the agency helps with have their own eligibility rules. Most Older Americans Act services start at age 60.
