How to apply for SMILE ON 65+ Dental Care for Low-Income Seniors (Tennessee)

Interfaith Dental Clinic (SMILE ON 65+ program)

Who it's for

SMILE ON 65+ gives low-cost dental care to Tennessee seniors who have no dental insurance. You must be 65 or older, live in Tennessee, have income below 200% of the federal poverty level, and have no dental coverage. Covered care can include exams, x-rays, emergency care, cleanings, fillings, root canals, crowns, gum disease treatment, and dentures or partials. You pay a $25 facility fee at each visit for covered services. Travel vouchers may be offered based on need, and a dental health coordinator can help you through the process. Call the SMILE ON 65+ hotline at 1-800-509-6055 to see if you qualify.

Screened at 200% of the one-person federal poverty guideline; the limit is higher for larger households, so couples above this amount should still call. You must have no dental insurance. Some services may be limited, and the hotline confirms whether you qualify.
