How to apply for HEAT energy assistance (SERDA) — San Juan in Utah
Southeastern Regional Development Agency (SERDA)
Who it's for
HEAT (Home Energy Assistance Target) is Utah's LIHEAP program for low-income households. In San Juan County, the Southeastern Regional Development Agency (SERDA) in Price takes HEAT applications. Households with someone age 60 or older, a disabled member or a child under 6 can apply from October 1; others can apply from November 1. The program year ends September 30 or when federal LIHEAP funds run out. San Juan residents can call 435-613-0100 for outreach dates and times or to set up a phone appointment. You can also apply online, by email at heat@seualg.utah.gov, or by mail to P.O. Box 1106, Price, UT 84501. If you are in danger of a shut-off, contact the HEAT office about crisis help.
SERDA decides eligibility and the benefit amount, and help depends on available federal funds. Statewide HEAT rules are set by the Utah Department of Workforce Services.
