Who it's for
MAG Aging & Family Services serves older adults and their families in Summit, Utah and Wasatch counties. It offers in-home programs, caregiver support and support groups, Meals on Wheels and senior centers, Medicare counseling, a long-term care ombudsman, Friendly Callers and a Senior Help Guide. Non-medical in-home services can include adult day care, homemaking and chore help, case management, personal care, emergency response systems and medical equipment. Call an options counselor at 801-229-3804 or email aging@magutah.gov. After a phone screening, you are placed on the right waiting list, and a case manager helps once you are accepted.
AAA services are free or donation-based, and some have waiting lists. Most Older Americans Act services start at age 60. Utah Medicaid eligibility is decided by the State of Utah.
