How to apply for HEAT utility assistance (Futures Through Training) — Weber in Utah
Futures Through Training, Inc. — H.E.A.T. Program
Who it's for
The Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) program helps eligible households with the cost of home energy. HEAT is not a welfare program. It is a federally funded energy assistance program, also known as LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program). Futures Through Training serves Weber, Davis and Morgan counties, including Weber County. Households may apply one time each program year, which runs from October through September. The benefit is a one-time payment and will not cover all of your yearly energy costs, so keep paying your bills. You do not need a shut-off notice to apply. To apply, call 801-394-9774 to ask for a mail-in application, print the state application, or apply online at jobs.utah.gov/mycase. If you are medically confined to your home, you can ask for an outreach worker to come to you.
The local HEAT office decides eligibility and the benefit amount, and help depends on available funds.
