Who it's for

The Emergency and Minor Housing Repair Program fixes things inside or outside the home that are a danger to health or safety, up to $10,000. The Moderate Housing Rehabilitation Program pays for bigger work, such as system upgrades, energy efficiency and accessibility changes, up to $45,000. Licensed contractors do the work. Call project:HOMES at 804-233-2827 to ask for help.

The County's page says homeowners must be 62 or older or disabled AND have a low or moderate income, but it does not publish the income limit, so this check screens on age or disability only. project:HOMES confirms income and decides the scope of work. Not legal or financial advice.
