How to apply for Public & Rural Transit (EARPDC Areawide Community Transportation System) — Calhoun

Who it's for

Calhoun County has public transit run by the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission. Rural demand-response rides pick you up at home if you live outside the city limits of Anniston, Oxford, Hobson City, Weaver, Jacksonville, and Piedmont. Fixed-route buses serve Anniston and Oxford and reach into Weaver and Hobson City. They cost $0.50 for elderly riders and Medicare or Medicaid recipients. ADA paratransit serves people with disabilities who cannot use the bus and live in Anniston, Oxford, Weaver, Jacksonville, or Hobson City. It costs $1.00 each way after an application is approved.
