The Walker County Transportation System gives public, curb-to-curb rides across all of Walker County. Rides run Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 6 a.m. to noon. The fare is $2.00 per person for each 5 miles, one way. A personal care assistant can ride free. Call 205-265-3989 at least 24 hours ahead to schedule.
