How to apply for Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) Senior Reduced Fare

Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) — a Manatee County government department

Who it's for

Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) is the public fixed-route bus system serving Manatee County — Bradenton, Ellenton, Palmetto, and the Gulf Beach communities. Buses operate Monday through Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Route 99 connects Bradenton to Sarasota, providing the only direct cross-county connection between these two Tampa Bay-area counties. Riders age 65 and older qualify for a reduced fare with proof of age at the farebox (Medicare card, Florida driver's license, Florida ID, or U.S. passport all accepted). The same reduced-fare category covers riders with disabilities. For more information about current fare amounts and discounted pass options, call MCAT at (941) 749-7116 or visit mymanatee.org.
