How to apply for VOTRAN VoAccess Paratransit (formerly Votran Gold)
Votran-Volusia County's Public Transit System
Who it's for
VoAccess (formerly Votran's Gold Service) is VOTRAN's ADA paratransit service for Volusia County residents whose physical or mental disability prevents them from independently using VOTRAN fixed-route buses. Service is available across Volusia County, with separate eligibility and service-area considerations for eastern and western Volusia corridors. The eligibility process: complete the VoAccess Application (filled out completely) and return by mail to VOTRAN at 950 Big Tree Road, South Daytona, FL 32119; processing takes up to 21 days. Visitors with ADA certification from another public transit agency may use a VoAccess Visitor Certification Form; contact VoAccess Customer Service at (386) 761-7700 for details. A $3.50 one-way fare applies for VoAccess trips. The same intake also handles Florida Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) program eligibility for low-income riders without ADA qualification.
VoAccess eligibility is decided by the completed application and supporting medical documentation — disability alone does not guarantee eligibility. This check can tell you that you appear functionally eligible to apply. Processing takes up to 21 days. If you have current ADA certification from another public transit agency (e.g., you're moving from Orange County's ACCESS LYNX or Broward's TOPS!), you can use VoAccess on presumptive eligibility for the first 21 days while your full eligibility decision is processed. Same application also screens for Florida Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) eligibility (income-based, no ADA-qualifying disability required). Call (386) 322-5100 (East Volusia) for reservations and questions.
