How to apply for Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) — Tallatoona Community Action Partnership in Georgia
Tallatoona Community Action Partnership, Inc. — the designated Community Action Agency serving Douglas, Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding, and nearby counties
Who it's for
Tallatoona Community Action Partnership delivers the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for Douglas County. LIHEAP helps low-income households pay home heating and cooling bills. A household may apply one time per heating season (winter) and one time per cooling season (spring). Households qualify with income at or below 60% of the state median income. Book an appointment online or through Tallatoona's automated line at 770-817-4666. Households where every adult is 65 or older can book early. Households where every adult is medically homebound must call 770-773-7730 ext. 300 instead, and staff can take the application at home. Help is first-come, first-served until funds run out, so apply early.
LIHEAP through Tallatoona is income-tested at or below 60% of the state median income and is first-come, first-served until seasonal funds are exhausted, so this shows as a may-qualify result. Seniors 65+ and the medically homebound may apply early each season.
