How to apply for METRA Transit (Senior & ADA Fares) — Muscogee County
Columbus Metropolitan Transportation System (METRA) — Columbus Consolidated Government
Who it's for
METRA is the public bus system for Muscogee County (Columbus), with fixed routes plus Dial-A-Ride origin-to-destination ADA paratransit. Seniors and people with disabilities ride fixed routes for a reduced fare of about 65 cents per trip; a Medicare card with photo ID is accepted as proof. Dial-A-Ride serves riders whose disability prevents them from using fixed routes (within 3/4 mile of a route) and requires an application. Call METRA at 706-225-4581 or Dial-A-Ride at 706-225-4596.
Reduced fixed-route fares are available to seniors and people with a qualifying disability; Dial-A-Ride paratransit eligibility is determined by application, so this shows as a may-qualify result.
What you'll need
- Proof of Muscogee County residency
- Proof of age (62+) or a Medicare card / disability ID for the reduced fare
- Completed Dial-A-Ride application (for door-to-door paratransit)
