How to apply for Cumberland Valley Senior Center & Nutrition Services

Cumberland Valley Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living (Cumberland Valley Area Development District)

Who it's for

Through the Cumberland Valley Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living, Kentuckians 60 and older in Clay County can use Older Americans Act (Title III) aging services. These include senior centers and congregate and home-delivered meals, Homecare Services (in-home support), family-caregiver support, health-promotion programs, legal services, the long-term-care ombudsman, participant-directed services, the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), SHIP benefits counseling, and a no-cost Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) for one-stop information and referral across the eight-county Cumberland Valley region (Bell, Clay, Harlan, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Rockcastle, Whitley). Most services have no income test; a voluntary donation may be requested but services are not denied for inability to pay.
