Who it's for
The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) runs buses, streetcars and ferries across Orleans Parish. Riders age 65 and older, veterans, and riders with disabilities pay a reduced Priority fare of $0.40 (regular fare is $1.25). All RTA buses are wheelchair accessible. For riders who cannot use regular routes because of a disability, door-to-door paratransit is available by reservation for certified riders ($2.00 one way). Service areas, hours, and fares are set by the transit provider; call ahead to schedule and ask about senior or disability fares.
