How to apply for CARTS Regional Transit (Pamlico County)

Craven Area Regional Transit System (CARTS), the NCDOT-funded regional Community Transportation System serving Craven, Jones, and Pamlico counties.

Who it's for

Pamlico County residents can ride CARTS, the Craven Area Regional Transit System, which schedules door-to-door trips across Craven, Jones, and Pamlico counties. All vehicles are ADA accessible. Older adults (60+) and people with disabilities can ride under the state Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance Program (EDTAP), which Pamlico County administers through its Department of Social Services. Pamlico County Senior Services (252-745-7196) can help arrange rides. Call to schedule in advance.

Pamlico: rides are provided by the regional CARTS system; EDTAP (administered by Pamlico County DSS) gives older and disabled riders priority and reduced or free fares. Trips must be scheduled in advance.
