How to apply for Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) — Lake County in Oregon
United Community Action Network (UCAN), the community action agency for Douglas and Josephine counties, delivering the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs SSVF program in Douglas, Josephine, Klamath and Lake counties (VA funds pass through CAPO)
Who it's for
SSVF helps veteran households in Lake County who have lost their housing or are at risk of losing it. A UCAN case worker meets with you one-on-one to look at your needs, make a plan, and help you get VA, Social Security and other benefits. Some households can get short-term money help to find or keep housing, depending on need. Single veterans can get help too. Call 541-956-4057 to make an appointment.
Someone in your household must be a veteran, your household must meet income guidelines, and you must either lack housing or be at risk of losing it and only need short-term help to get into stable housing. Money help depends on need and funding, which is limited. UCAN decides eligibility.
