YVEDDI Public Transportation provides door-to-door community and public rides in Davie, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin counties, including Mocksville, for medical visits, shopping, work, senior nutrition sites, and other trips. The North Carolina Department of Transportation gives grant money to help older adults (age 60 and over under state law) and people with disabilities with ride costs; qualified riders are asked for a cost-share donation of $2 per round trip. Anyone else can ride for $2 each way in town, $3 in the county, or more out of county. To enroll, call the Mobility Manager at 336-679-2071. Rides depend on available funds and vehicles.
