How to apply for LIHEAP energy assistance (Community Services Consortium) — Linn in Oregon
Community Services Consortium (CSC)
Who it's for
Community Services Consortium (CSC) runs utility assistance for Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties. It helps with power and gas bills and other heating and cooling costs; a shutoff notice is not required. The 2027 program is now open, starting with a preference period for adults 60 and older and people with disabilities. If you were served before, CSC will mail you an application request by October 12, 2026. If you are new to the program, you can request an application starting October 12, 2026. If an expected mailer has not come by October 31, 2026, call the help desk. For everyone else, screening forms are usually available one week per month. Help starts at $250 depending on eligibility. The Linn County office is at 250 SW Broadalbin, Suite 2A, Albany. Call the utility assistance help desk at 541-704-7632 and leave one message.
The Community Action Agency decides eligibility and the benefit amount, and help depends on available funds. Statewide income screening lives on or.state.liheap.
