Who it's for

Aransas County seniors have two demand-response ride options. The Aransas County Council on Aging runs rural public transportation in the Rockport and Aransas areas Monday–Friday, with Corpus Christi and Portland trips on Wednesdays; wheelchair accessible, by appointment with 24 hours notice — call 361-729-8007 (8am–noon) to schedule and ask the cost. R.E.A.L., Inc. also gives elderly residents rides for local shopping, medical appointments and senior-center visits (Sinton office 361-364-0153, by appointment).
