How to apply for Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Corpus Christi — Senior Reduced Fare + B-Line Paratransit in Texas

Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA / RTA) — the principal public transit operator for the Corpus Christi metro and Nueces County; operates fixed-route bus, light rail (in development), and B-Line ADA paratransit service

Who it's for

RTA Corpus Christi operates fixed-route bus service across Nueces County (Corpus Christi metro, Robstown, Port Aransas, and surrounding areas) plus B-Line ADA-eligible paratransit. Since February 2, 2026, riders AGE 65+ ride CCRTA buses free (show a valid state or national ID if asked). Medicare card holders and persons with disabilities (including veterans with disabilities) qualify for reduced fares ($0.50 a ride, $17.50 for a 31-day pass) with a Medicare card, Disabled Veteran ID or CCRTA B-ID card. RTA also provides flexible neighborhood transit. Apply for a B-ID card or B-Line paratransit certification at the CCRTA Customer Service Center (602 N. Staples St., Corpus Christi) or by calling 361-883-2287. Rural Nueces and adjacent Coastal Bend counties are served by REAL (Rural Economic Assistance League) or CACOST regional rural transit.

Riders 65+ ride free with age proof; no separate senior card is needed. B-Line ADA paratransit requires separate certification.
