Who it's for

St. Clair Area Transportation (SCAT) gives demand-response rides across St. Clair County for a small fee, to places like dialysis, therapy, cancer treatment, shopping, work, and visits, with a special focus on older adults and people with disabilities. It also has a contract with the Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging. The fare is $2 per person for each 5 miles one way, plus $1 for each extra stop. Service runs Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 205-338-1352 at least 24 hours ahead.
