How to apply for Easy Lift Dial-A-Ride ADA Paratransit (Santa Barbara County)
Easy Lift Transportation, Inc. (contracted ADA paratransit for Santa Barbara MTD)
Who it's for
Easy Lift Transportation runs the ADA complementary paratransit service for the Santa Barbara MTD service area — southern Santa Barbara County (Goleta, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria). Easy Lift Dial-A-Ride is for people who cannot use MTD fixed-route buses because of a mental, physical, or cognitive disability. Eligibility is functional, not age-based: you complete an application describing the disability or condition that prevents you from using MTD, and Easy Lift evaluates your functional ability — the reviewer may request a phone or in-person interview. The Dial-A-Ride fare is $3.50 per trip. To apply or to make reservations after certification, call Easy Lift at 1-805-681-1181.
Easy Lift Dial-A-Ride eligibility is functional (mental, physical, or cognitive disability that prevents independent use of Santa Barbara MTD fixed-route service) and is determined by Easy Lift through an application plus a possible phone or in-person interview — the scan cannot perform that assessment. Start by calling Easy Lift at 1-805-681-1181.
