How to apply for Visalia Transit Dial-A-Ride (ADA Paratransit, Tulare County)

City of Visalia Transit

Who it's for

Visalia Transit Dial-A-Ride is the ADA complementary paratransit service for the Visalia Transit fixed-route area — Visalia, Goshen, Farmersville, Exeter, and the Tulare Transit Center. Eligibility is functional, not age-based: your disability must prevent you from getting to a fixed-route bus stop or from boarding a fixed-route bus. The ADA application is two-part — applicant info plus verification from a doctor, rehabilitation counselor, physical therapist, or other licensed medical professional. ADA reservations can be booked up to two weeks in advance. For applications and information call 1-559-713-4100; for reservations (once certified) call 1-559-713-4750.

Dial-A-Ride eligibility is functional (disability that prevents independent use of Visalia Transit fixed-route service) and requires a two-part application — your portion plus verification from a licensed medical professional. The scan cannot perform that assessment. Start by calling 1-559-713-4100.
