How to apply for Property Tax/Rent/Heat Credit (PTC) Rebate
Colorado Department of Revenue
Who it's for
The PTC Rebate helps Colorado residents 65 and older (or a surviving spouse 58 and older) with low income pay property tax, rent, and heat costs. For the 2025 rebate year, total income from all sources must be less than $19,094 for single filers or $25,788 for married couples filing jointly. The rebate can be up to $1,178 a year. You must have lived in Colorado all year and paid property tax, rent, or heating bills. File form DR 0104PTC by mail, at a Taxpayer Service Center, or through Revenue Online.
A surviving spouse age 58 or older can also qualify (not shown in this screen). People with disabilities under 65 now claim the separate Disability Assistance Credit on a Colorado income tax return instead. The Department of Revenue computes the rebate from your income and expenses.
