How to apply for Rental and Utility Assistance (Clark County Social Service) — Clark in Nevada
Clark County Social Service (CCSS)
Who it's for
Clark County Social Service helps eligible low-income households pay rent, mortgage, and utility bills. The help comes as a check made out to you or to your landlord, mortgage company, or utility. A household of one can get up to $400 a month, plus $135 a month for each added household member. Most households can get help once every 12 months, but people with a disability (as defined by Social Security) can get help more often. Renters who are behind on rent and have someone in the home on a fixed income, like Social Security, a pension, or VA or disability benefits, may also qualify for the Fixed Income Rental Assistance Program, which can pay up to 12 months of rent. Call 702-455-4270, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Help is for eligible low-income Clark County households; CCSS does not publish its income limit on this page and decides eligibility after a caseworker review (usually within 30 days). Most households can get help only once every 12 months, unless CCSS finds a barrier to employment or you have a disability as defined by Social Security. The Fixed Income Rental Assistance Program requires rent arrears and a household member on a fixed income; apply at chap.clarkcountynv.gov.
