How to apply for City of Liberty Water / Wastewater Utility Bill Credit (Clay County) in Missouri

City of Liberty, Missouri — Water & Sewer Utility Billing

Who it's for

City of Liberty water customers who are seniors or people with disabilities can get a 15% cut in their water and wastewater rates. To qualify, you must take part in the Missouri Property Tax Credit (the state's property tax and rent rebate for certain seniors and people with disabilities), and the utility account must be in your name. Bring a filed copy of your current MO-PTS or MO-PTC form to the cashier's window at Liberty City Hall, 101 E. Kansas St. The program year runs May 1 to April 30, and you must reapply every year by April 30. Call Utility Billing at 816-439-4460.

Only for City of Liberty water and wastewater customers, not all of Clay County. You must have filed for the Missouri Property Tax Credit (which has its own age, disability and income limits) and the account must be in your name. The credit starts the month after the city verifies you and does not apply to bills already sent.
