How to apply for Merced 'The Bus' ADA Paratransit (Merced County)
Merced Transit Authority (Transit Joint Powers Authority for Merced County)
Who it's for
'The Bus' Paratransit is the ADA complementary paratransit service for the Merced County transit area. It is for riders with disabilities who cannot use 'The Bus' fixed-route service. Notably, paratransit is also FREE for ADA-eligible riders (same as the senior 62+ free-fare policy). To apply, call 1-877-232-7433 or visit the ADA Ride website; once approved you'll be notified by mail. For eligibility questions contact the Merced Transit Authority at 1-209-723-3100.
Paratransit eligibility is functional (disability that prevents using 'The Bus' fixed-route service) and is determined by the Merced Transit Authority — this check cannot perform that assessment. Apply by calling 1-877-232-7433.
