How to apply for GO ACCESS Paratransit (Ventura County)

Gold Coast Transit District (GCTD)

Who it's for

GO ACCESS is GCTD's origin-to-destination paratransit serving Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County between those cities. GO ACCESS has a uniquely friendly two-track eligibility: it is open both to people whose disability prevents them from using fixed-route bus (the standard ADA-paratransit path) AND to seniors aged 65 and older directly. For the disability path, you must complete an ADA Certification application through the Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC); the application requires a healthcare provider's signature and may include an in-person interview at one of VCTC's regional sites (Camarillo, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Ventura/Oxnard). For the age-65 path, age is the qualification — no ADA certification is required. To request an application or for more information, call GCTD customer service at 1-805-487-4222 or VCTC at 1-888-667-7001.

What you'll need

  • Proof of age 65+ (driver's license, state ID, Medicare card, or passport) — OR — completed ADA Certification application with healthcare provider's signature
  • Possible in-person interview at a VCTC regional site (Camarillo, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Ventura/Oxnard) for the ADA path
