Care Connection for Aging Services is the Area Agency on Aging for Henry County. It is the local starting point that connects older adults and caregivers to Region 3 Area Agency on Aging in Warrensburg. Uninsured and underinsured residents of Henry County can apply for financial assistance (charity care) at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare for emergency and medically necessary care. Discounts are based on household size and income compared with the Federal Poverty Level. 1600 N. Second Street, Clinton, MO. Page states "Financial assistance is determined using current federal poverty guidelines", "Patients with incomes at or below 100% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) may receive a 100% discount", 101-250% of FPG qualifies for an 80% discount, and uninsured patients get "A 40% discount off full charges for medically necessary services" automatically. Applications must be turned in to Patient Accounts within 240 days of receiving a bill. Senior Property Tax Freeze (SB 190) — Henry

County

Henry County has adopted Missouri's senior property tax credit (SB 190): homeowners 62 or older can freeze the real-estate tax bill on their primary home, so it stops rising in later years. Applications: Applications are due by June 30th of the tax year.. Henry County Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2025-0529, "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PROPERTY TAX CREDIT FOR ELIGIBLE SENIOR CITIZENS PURSUANT TO SECTION 137.1050, RSMO", intended to take effect with the 2025 tax year. The full ordinance text is published on the county page. The freeze applies to all ad valorem taxes including school, township and fire district levies. Homestead includes the dwelling, non-commercial accessory structures and up to five (5) acres of contiguous land. Applicants must not be delinquent on real property taxes.
