Senior Free Fare (OATS Transit) — Schuyler
County · MissouriOATS Transit is a shared-ride, demand-response bus service in Schuyler County. It is open to everyone regardless of age or income, and seniors age 60 and older ride free, funded by the Schuyler County Senior Citizens Funds. Everyone else pays $2.00 in town, $3.00 within the county, $4.00 to an adjacent county, or $10.00 round trip for long distance. County routes run to Cantril, IA on the 1st Thursday and Memphis/Rutledge on the 4th Thursday. InterCity routes run Hwy 63 to Columbia on Tuesdays and to Kirksville on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays ($10.00 round trip, $1.00 each stop along the way), and connect to Amtrak, airports and city buses. Pickup points: Downing (Christian Church), Lancaster (Baptist Church), Queen City (Dollar General) and Greentop (Sebree's Restaurant). Fares are paid in advance by card or rider account; drivers do not take payment on the bus. Reservations are taken 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and next-day rides must be booked by 1:00 pm.
