It runs a staffed Aging Helpline and Information & Assistance, and may help with items Medicare does not cover, such as dentures and hearing aids, based on income and available funds. Other services include the Long Term Care Ombudsman, caregiver respite vouchers, health and wellness workshops, free legal help for people 60 and older through Legal Aid of Oklahoma, hot meals five days a week at nutrition sites for people 60 and older, and rides for adults 60 and older through EMBARK. CountyMercy Hospital Logan County in Guthrie is part of Mercy, which gives hospital and clinic financial assistance for medically necessary care based on household income and family size. Under Mercy's guidelines based on the 2026 Federal Poverty Income Guidelines, income from 0 - 200% of the poverty level gets a 100% hospital discount, and 201% - 300% gets an 80% hospital discount. If you are eligible, you pay no more than the amount generally billed to insured patients. Uninsured patients must first call the Medicaid Eligibility Screening team at 855-420-7900 before applying.
