Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging is the Area Agency on Aging for Loudoun County. It is the local starting point that connects older adults and caregivers to Part of Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services (DARS PSA 08D); senior centers, memory care and adult day centers, care coordination, caregiver resources, home-delivered meals/food assistance, Medicare counseling, and senior trips. The Virginia Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps income-eligible households in Loudoun County pay heating and cooling bills, with crisis help for shut-offs and broken equipment. Loudoun County offers real estate tax relief (exemption) for homeowners who are 65 or older or permanently disabled. Effective 2026 (single or married applicants): 100% exemption at income up to $87,000 with net worth up to $498,000; 50% exemption tiers allow net worth up to $1,028,000 with progressively lower income caps (down to $55,000).
