The service is exclusively for ADA-eligible persons with disabilities — age alone does not qualify. Service is offered within three-quarters of a mile of a Mountain Transit fixed route and only along maintained, paved roads. ADA-qualified passengers ride free within the ¾-mile service area when space is available; additional fees may apply outside the designated area. Reservations require 24 hours' notice (up to two weeks in advance). The application requires one piece of qualifying documentation (SSDI/SSI award letter, handicap placard, or a Mountain Transit Medical Professional Verification Form) plus a government-issued photo ID. Mountain Transit covers the Big Bear and Rim of the World areas only — the Victor Valley uses VVTA Direct Access and the San Bernardino Valley uses OmniAccess.

Victor Valley residents are served by VVTA Direct Access, and Big Bear/Rim of the World residents are served by Mountain Transit; neither is part of OmniAccess.
